ABOUT THE FOUNDER
KRISTAL Gurley
Kristal Gurley is the founder of KADA (Kreative Architectural Design Academy). Originally from Houston, Texas, Kristal received a Bachelor of Architecture from Prairie View A & M University and a master’s degree in education. In 2008, upon receiving her master's in education, she dreamed of one day opening a summer STEM program for kids. A program wherein kids can study architecture while being creative, imaginative, and collaborative.
Kristal worked in the corporate world of architecture and engineering for many years then decided to teach after becoming a mother. After teaching for twenty-one years in the secondary school districts of Texas, Kristal decided to give the younger kids a chance to explore architecture through KADA. She wants to inspire young girls and boys to believe in themselves and achieve goals they never thought were possible.
Kristal’s passion for design is evident and her love for creativity is beyond amazing. Her greatest desire is to reach out and touch as many kid's lives as possible by giving each child the opportunity to design, create and build for the future. On July 7, 2021, KADA launched its first summer STEM Camp for economically disadvantaged and gifted and talented kids ages eight through sixteen in Fort Worth, Texas.
INTERN LEADERS
Jennifer Tran
Jennifer is a very talented and amazing young woman. She carries herself with grace and confidence. She is looking forward to attending TCC and receiving an associate degree while continuing in med school. Jennifer is excited to lead the next generation of kids towards amazing experience with KADA. She enjoys reading, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and exploring beauty and skincare.
Brooke Sincliar
Brooke is a very creative and talented young woman. She loves to design amazing spaces. She is confident and humble. Brook enjoys running cross country, track and field, interior design, cooking and baking. Brooke is looking forward to leading the next generation of kids to an amazing experience with KADA. Brooke plans to attend the University of North Texas and major in interior design.
Ty Kigore
Ty is very creative and loves collaborating with others about design ideas. His positive attitude is always pleasant and motivating. Ty is confident and well balanced. Ty enjoys football and traveling with his family. He is looking forward to leading the next generation of kids to an amazing experience with KADA. Ty will be attending Texas A & M University this fall majoring in construction engineering.
NATALIE MCCUNE
Natalie is a very creative and talented young woman. She loves to decorate and make things with her hands. She is confident and courageous, never giving up. Natalie enjoys music, dancing and hanging out with friends. She is looking forward to leading the next generation of kids to an amazing experience with KADA. Natalie will be attending the University of North Texas this fall majoring in interior design.
